An ode to friendship






Modern days human friendship is like that candle-
Melting away conveniently,
Showing the light only till the wick wants to show.
Benjamin said -
It should be a circle
Never-ending
Never dying
Without a dent.
But in modern times,
does it hold true?
One cannot be quarantined in it.
It has no strength to carry along.
Just based on what you can provide.
So safely secure those few gems,
Who follow the circular law.
Secure that friendship -
which can dauntlessly handle,
the amazing power of honesty.
Warmly protect,
against all the odds.
Not needing a fulcrum,
to communicate.
But just be there
whenever needed to hug!
