You and I
O my heart,
Both you and I,
have dealt with books and beings,
traversed the roads rugged, curvy and less known !
sometimes enervated, lost and defeated,
other times euphoric, and triumphant.
Both you and I,
have witnessed seasons-
tempestuous and arduous.
Both you and I,
have danced in seasons-
filled with colors and scents, multitude.
Both you and I,
loved too deep,
nourishing our own whims and fancies,
not worrying too deep,
consequences unknown.
Till both you and I,
sometimes returned hurt and tired,
drenched in our self-generated pain,
other times returned ebullient and fortified,
drenched in self-generated seasons of love.
Today,
both you and I,
sit together,
watching the sunset,
basking in solitude,
in an uncanny languor.
tired but yet hopeful.
In this abundant world,
there is no space for disdain,
so let us rise
from our own ashes of experiences multifold,
let us make room for hope !

The Phoenix is such a close analogy to hope. We fall and rise and that is what defines life. The pain and happiness intertwined to create life but all those feelings combine to form one single feeling if the partner is a compliment.
